Lit by Karen & Phil 22nd January 2014
It is a Jewish tradition to light a candle to remember our loved ones. We do this on the birthdays and anniversaries and on any other occasions when we want to bring our loved ones closer to us. We do this for 24 hours on a birthday for example, starting with the sunset beforehand. It is comforting, and using a scented candle is lovely. So this is my candle today for Caroline; she burned bright in our lives, and we wish we had had more time to experience this special lady. She will continue to be a light to us and we will be close to her every time we set a candle alight.
This candle went out on 23rd January 2014.
